Boost gas flexibility to cope with renewable electricity generation

A report published by consultants Poyry on 2nd June states that UK gas networks need to become more flexible to cope with an increase in wind powered generation.

The report titles, How Wind Generation Could Transform Gas Markets in Great Britain and Ireland, suggests thatgreater gas storage is a key element in coping with volatility from growing renewable electricity generation. It also states that gas and electricity prices would be impacted by increasing flexibility of UK gas systems.
