UK’s leading renewable energy organisations sign up to joint General Election manifesto

A coalition of nine renewable energy trader associations launched a joint general election manifesto on Thursday 1 April. The coalition including, Renewable UK and the Renewable Energy Associations, outlined 12 crucial steps to help deliver UK renewable targets.
The 12 recommendations highlight ways to ensure Britain delivers 15% of its energy from renewables by 2020.
Including;
- Strong leadership and a long term investment framework
- Strategic plan for key energy infrastructure
- Commit to roll-out a smart grid network by 2030
