IMServ double their meter installations as the CRC approaches
16.03.2010
Today IMServ has reported a huge rise in the demand for non half hourly automated meters as businesses approach the start of the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC) legislation at the beginning of April.
IMServ, a leading carbon and energy consultancy and part of Invensys Operation Management, averages around 3,500 meter installations a month, but this month have experienced figures in excess of 7,000 units and already has 6,000 units planned for April.
Due to the increase in installations, IMServ have had to recruit an additional ten office staff to cope with the orders and now has up to 100 technicians working all hours, seven days a week to meet the surge in demand.
Managing Director at IMServ, Steve Brown says, “The penny has finally dropped with many businesses now realising that they need to step up to the plate and take this legislation seriously. If they don’t act now, companies could face large fines not to mention the knock on effect that poor performance in the league tables will have on their corporate reputation.”
