Having been talked about for years smart metering seems to be making slow progress and according to AIM-quoted smart meter supplier and installer, Bglobal, they are ready to take advantage of the forthcoming roll-out.
Bglobal failed to live up to early forecasts due to government indecisiveness about how to tackle the installation of smart metering; making energy companies wary of pushing ahead with their plans for the short-term.
Smart meters are expected to help to cut energy consumption and make people more aware of how they use their energy.
